The Wild Bear MTB is a premier multi-day mountain bike stage race held in the heart of Serbia’s Tara National Park.Known as one of Europe’s fastest-growing stage races, it offers an “epic adventure” through untouched nature, taking riders deep into the Dinaric Alps. Whether you are a solo rider or part of a two-person team, the event is designed to push your limits while showcasing the raw, rugged beauty of one of the most diverse mountain bike terrains in the Balkans.
The Course & Terrain:

The “Wild” Route: The event typically spans four days, covering over 180km with more than 5,000m of vertical climbing. Every stage starts and finishes in the central race village of Mitrovac na Tari, creating a convenient “base camp” atmosphere.

Diverse Landscapes: Riders traverse a stunning variety of terrain, including technical singletracks, high-alpine plateaus, lush forest roads, and rocky ridgelines. The route passes iconic landmarks like the Zaovine and Perućac lakes, offering panoramic views over the Drina River Gorge.

Pristine Wilderness: As a UNESCO Tentative List treasure, Tara National Park is home to rare species like the Pančić Spruce and a thriving population of wild bears, giving the race its name and its untamed spirit.
