Terra Australis Mountainbike Race
The Terra Australis Mountainbike Race, a ride “at the end of the world”, continues to be the most demanding stage race in Chile, as well as the southernmost race on the American continent.
This spectacular race features unique trails and breathtaking scenery, all centered around the city of Punta Arenas – the capital of the Magallanes region in the heart of Patagonia Austral. In total, the Terra Australis Mountain Bike Race will be made up of nearly 164 kilometers of route and an accumulated ascent of 5200 meters, 80 % of which will consist of trails and forest roads.
The stages are distributed as follows:
Stage 1 – approximately 58 km with 1700 m+ (loop circuit)
Stage 2 – Marathon Stage of 60 km with 1700m+
Stage 3: 46 km with 1800m+.
All stages will take place in and around the city of Punta Arenas, and the starts will be no more than 10 km from the city center.
