The mountains are calling as the Snowies MTB Festival returns to Australia’s iconic Snowy Mountains from 3rd to 5th February 2023 including all the 4.5-star luxury of our spectacular home venue Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa.
We are so excited that 2023 will mark 10 years of In2Adventure launching and developing off-road events in the spectacular Snowy Mountains. On our 10th anniversary, we invite you to join us, and our very own Man From Snowy River to celebrate in Australia’s Adventure Capital.
Snowies Mountain Bike Festival is sanctioned by AusCycling and includes two unique course options with the 114k Wild Brumby and 75k Brumby.
The Wild Brumby includes all of the epic riding for which the Snowy Mountains is famous including Thredbo’s Ricochet trails, the beauty of Lake Crackenback Resort trails PLUS an awe-inspiring descent from Thredbo to Gaden on the Snowy Legends Descent, traversing the banks of the Thredbo River on the iconic Thredbo Valley Track (TVT).
And for those looking to enjoy riding in the Snowy Mountains minus the more technical riding, the Brumby Course is the perfect option.

The Wild Brumby is for riders ready to tackle the very best and toughest riding on offer in the Snowy Mountains.
It’s a hardcore challenge for hardcore riders which includes the Snowy Legends Descent where competitors depart from Thredbo in the shadow of Australia’s highest peak, Mt Kosciuszko to ride the full expanse of the Thredbo Valley to Gaden.
With the event hub at an altitude of 1,260m, The Wild Brumby includes 5 diverse stages covering 114ks of rugged mountain terrain including over 90% single-track riding. Entry also includes a chairlift ride to the top of Thredbo Resort ready to tackle the excitement of the rollercoaster ride that is Stage 2 ‘Ricochet’ The Wild Brumby tests rider’s strength, speed, stamina, endurance and technical skills across constantly changing and varied terrain throughout the stages.
Riders have all this coupled with some of the most spectacular mountain vistas, epic suspension bridges, a race against our very own ‘Man from Snowy River’ and the most stunning river valley and mountain scenery found anywhere in the world.
