Embark on the ultimate stage challenge and race through the heart of Morocco’s desert – the Škoda Titan Desert Morocco is calling all adventurers ready to push their limits! Six days of pure desert and a return to the origins, with a route that includes much of that first edition in 2006, but with new features and new sections.
This is much more than just an MTB race. It is six days of adventure, with constant sporting and personal challenges; a unique expedition in which you will test your limits on the bike, and share experiences with the rest of the competitors in the Titans Camp. The Titan Desert Morocco Challenge camps are the heart of the adventure. They prepare for the next day’s stages but also allow competitors to share anecdotes and experience first-hand what the Titan spirit is all about.
Once you arrive at the start, all you have to worry about is living the adventure to the full. The registration fee includes accommodation, meals and all the safety and race elements you need to think of nothing but yourself and your bike. The landscape is one of the most thrilling and demanding aspects of this spectacular mountain bike race. Riders will experience Morocco’s diverse natural beauty, ranging from the vast, rugged Atlas mountains to windswept sands and dunes of the desert.
THE ROUTE:
- Stage 1: Merzouga to Merzouga (91 km) – A loop around Merzouga, including the iconic Erg Chebbi dunes.
- Stage 2: Merzouga to Ait Ben Said (120 km) – A challenging day through tracks at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.
- Stage 3: Ait Ben Said to Tazlarte (90 km) – The only mountain stage, featuring climbs and the Škoda Challenge time trial.
- Stage 4: Tazlarte to Tafroukht (104 km) – A desert stage with a marathon sector requiring self-sufficiency.
- Stage 5: Tafroukht to El Jorf (91 km) – A mix of sand and navigation challenges.
- Stage 6: El Jorf to Maadid (61 km) – A diverse final stage leading to the finish line.
