Sani Seeker
Sani Seeker is a two-day mountain bike stage race set at Glencairn Farm in Himeville, tucked into the foothills of the iconic Sani Pass Valley in the Southern Drakensberg. Built around a cloverleaf course layout, both stages start and finish at the same race village, meaning zero travel hassle between days — riders simply arrive, race, and return to camp.
The routes climb alongside the Drakensberg escarpment, wind through forest trails, and flow along pristine mountain rivers, delivering some of the most scenic mountain biking terrain in South Africa. Each stage covers a similar distance, thoughtfully designed to align with youth racing regulations while still delivering a genuine stage race experience — one that builds confidence, resilience, and technical skill.
While the event is built to celebrate mountain biking’s future stars, it’s designed for every level of rider. Whether you’re a junior chasing the top step of the podium, a seasoned rider after a fun weekend away, or a complete beginner who’s always wanted to try mountain biking but felt held back by distance or cost, Sani Seeker offers an accessible entry point without compromising on a true stage-race feel.
Beyond the riding, Sani Seeker leans hard into festival atmosphere. The fully serviced race village includes food vendors, a bar, a chill zone, hot showers, and flushing toilets, while evenings bring live music, games, and a genuinely festive vibe. Add in on-site medical support, bike wash facilities, water tables on course, and a finisher medal for every rider who completes both stages, and the event delivers a complete, well-supported weekend rather than just two days of racing.
Set against some of the most breathtaking scenery in South Africa, Sani Seeker combines serious trail riding with a laid-back, celebratory atmosphere — a next-level weekend for riders of every background.
