Sahara Adventure

Sahara Adventure

Sahara Adventure is a multi-day, non-competitive gravel journey from the bustle of Marrakesh’s medina to the silence of the Sahara’s deepest dunes — a trip designed for riders who want the drama of a desert crossing without the pressure of a race clock.

After a first evening exploring Marrakesh together, the route crosses the legendary Tizi n’Tichka Pass to reach Ait Ben Haddou, the UNESCO-listed fortress town familiar from countless film sets, before the riding begins along palm-lined tracks. The days that follow push deeper into the Anti-Atlas Mountains — remote, rugged, and often described by past riders as among the best cycling they’ve ever done — before reaching the oasis town of N’Kob and the ancient kasbahs of Zagora, gateway to the desert proper.

From there, the adventure shifts entirely: nights in authentic Nomad camps beneath the dunes, riding across vast dry lakebeds, and days spent navigating soft sand with the help of experienced local guides who know exactly where — and where not — to ride. The journey closes with a crossing toward Foum Zguid before returning to Marrakesh to celebrate with new friends.

With a small group size, two 4×4 support vehicles, full-board meals, and a route split between comfortable hotels and authentic Nomad camp tents, this is an adventure built around comfort as much as challenge. Riders should be comfortable covering good daily distances on loose surfaces across consecutive days, but the pace stays relaxed — plenty of time to stop, take photos, and simply take in the scale of the desert. It’s less a test of speed than a test of wonder.
