The Rift Valley Odyssey Maasai Mara is an extraordinary five-day mountain biking journey through Kenya’s iconic Great Rift Valley, finishing in the legendary Maasai Mara during the peak of the wildebeest migration. Held from September 22–26, this exclusive adventure is limited to 75 participants and offers two options: a 5-day odyssey (475 km, 8,000m ascent) or a 3-day version (300 km, 4,500m ascent) from September 24–26.
This is not a race—there’s no podium, no stopwatch—just raw, untamed adventure. Riders will cross high-altitude volcanic landscapes, ancient forests, remote villages, arid scrublands, and vast savannah teeming with wildlife. The trails are rugged, unmarked, and demanding—50% singletrack and 50% jeep trail—requiring GPS navigation and a strong spirit of self-reliance.
Ideal for experienced mountain bikers, e-MTBs are also welcome with logistical support provided. Accommodation ranges from shared lodges to remote bush camps, with an unforgettable final night at Entumoto Safari Camp in the Maasai Mara.
The journey doesn’t end at the finish line—participants can extend their stay with a two-night safari package, including game drives and optional hot air balloon rides over the migration plains.
