Peneda-Gerês Trail Adventure (PGTA) is organized by Carlos Sá Nature Events, with the support of ADERE Peneda-Gerês and of the Municipal Chambers of Arcos de Valdevez, Melgaço, Ponte da Barca, Montalegre and Terras de Bouro, and authorized by Peneda-Gerês National Park (PNPG). The race is run in 5 Days|5 Stages in two different versions: Advanced Version, with longer distances, and Starter Version in which participants can run a shorter distance in most stages. The courses pass through some of the most emblematic places of the region, with a natural and cultural heritage unique in the world.
Day one: Transfer from Porto to Melgaço. Race bib distribution and Free Lunch. 16h00, the start of the 1st Stage which is 20km. Dinner in Castro de Laboreiro where athletes will be spending the night.
Day two: Transfer from Castro de Laboreiro to Lindoso. At 8h15 the advanced 33km race will start the 2nd Stage. At 9h00, Starter group will start the second stage of 22km. Dinner in Castro de Laboreiro where athletes will spend the night.
Day three: Transfer from Castro de Laboreiro to Lindoso. At 8h15 the advanced 30km race will start the 3rd Stage. At 9h00, Starter group will start the 3rd stage of 14km. Dinner at Vila do Gerês where athletes will spend the night.
Day four: At 8h00 the advanced 41km race will start the 4th Stage. At 8h00, Starter group will start the 4th stage of 19km. Dinner at Outeiro where athletes will spend the night.
Day five: At 8h00 the advanced 31km race will start the 5th Stage. At 8h00, Starter group will start the 5th stage of 15km. Transfer to Porto Aeroport.
