Kyrgyzstan Adventure
Kyrgyzstan Adventure is a remote, multi-day gravel journey across landscapes that remain almost entirely off the beaten cycling path — glacial valleys, alpine lakes, and high mountain passes deep in Central Asia.
After arriving in Bishkek, riders climb straight into it, tackling a demanding mountain pass en route to a wild campsite beneath the peaks. From there the route rolls through further high passes into wide valleys full of freely grazing horses, with a rare night indoors in a cozy guesthouse along the way. The journey continues toward the legendary Son-Kul Lake, a vast alpine plateau where nomadic families still herd horses across the grasslands, and riders sleep in a traditional yurt camp right on the shore.
The route continues through the town of Naryn for a night of city comfort, then into dramatic gorges and wide-open valleys, crossing the trip’s high point before a final wild campsite under open skies. The last stretch of riding threads through a scenic valley to the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake, one of the largest alpine lakes in the world, for a final night in a yurt camp before the return to Bishkek.
Accommodation deliberately mixes comfort and rawness — hotel nights, a homestay, wild camping, and yurt stays — supported throughout by 4×4 vehicles, one of which drives ahead to prepare lunch each day. This trip demands moderate-to-strong fitness and genuine gravel experience, but rewards it with some of the most remote, untouched scenery available on two wheels anywhere in the world.
