The GOBI MARCH MONGOLIA, embark on an extraordinary ultramarathon journey with UltraLite a seven-day footrace designed for those who seek the challenge of an ultramarathon but with a more flexible format. Held alongside the renowned Gobi March in Mongolia, this race offers adventure, endurance, and community—all in an awe-inspiring setting.
The GOBI MARCH (MONGOLIA) begins at the Khar Bukh Balgas Fortress and takes place in the stunning Karakorum region of Central Mongolia.
Runners will follow in the footsteps of the legendary Genghis Khan, crossing Mongolia’s vast, untouched steppe as the course winds across historic battlefields, through the UNESCO World Heritage–listed Orkhon Valley, and onward to the ancient city of Karakorum.
The race unfolds amid sand dunes, rugged canyons, and endless horizons, as competitors race up to 250 km / 155 miles over seven days. This also includes vast green grasslands, stupas and temples, and old forests as the route passes through the Khar Bukh Balgas Fortress, traditional Mongolian ger villages, the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Orkhon Valley, and finally ends at the ancient city of Karakorum.
