Contrary to the name the Dr Evil Classic is aimed at normal FUN riders as well as hardcore athletes. The three days will ALL be over 150 kilometers in distance. Leon Evans has created routes that are interesting, scenic and will test those who set out with the intention of racing the event.
In 2024, the Dr Evil Classic 3-Day Stage Race is officially 12 years old and has made its mark as the best reason to head to the Garden Route on the Heritage Day weekend. Each stage of the three-day event promises a unique view of Plettenberg Bay and its surroundings.
There will be sufficient water points on route with approximately one point every 30 kilometres. There will be snacks and drinks at each point. Riders are encouraged to carry their own drinks on their bikes and some food just in case. We aim to make our points as special as possible and will have First Aids Kits, communication systems should you require assistance and massage options as well as lubrication for bicycles.
