Stage ONE: 55 km (+/-) Two Options for 2025
The Queen stage takes you into Driekuilen Game Farm. There will be climbing but it will be worth your legs. At the top of Waboomsberg, at the Lookout point you will be spoiled with views all the way into Montagu but here will also be the Photobomb moment of the weekend. Pose with your steed at this magnificent view (all images free for download) and enjoy the very special water point set up here. This stage has Gemsbok, Eland, Zebra, Swart Wildebeest and many more game to see, the trails are a joy to ride and the views out of this world. Driekuilen is opening up old trails to connect with the existing routes, this will mean less climbing, more time on Driekuilen, even more spectacular views and definitely an experience not to be missed. If you need to choose between riding only one of the stages…this will be it! As soon as we know which trails was opened in time we will update the details of ascent, but it will be approximately 55km’s. Only 8km’s of this will be on open gravel road, the rest will be on the very well maintained routes of Driekuilen. Please note there is a prize for the King/Queen of the mountain, make it to the Klipstapels first, receive your crown and Driekuilen’s amazing prize!
Stage TWO: 58 km (+/-)
This stage has an exciting new route this year (2025), you won’t be climbing all the way up to Ezelsjacth but stay on the Touwsriver side. Jeep track and a short section of easy open single track. You will love the new edition. The change is to get away from the Tar R318.
This event isn’t for complete beginners. You’ll want to be fit, comfortable with varied terrain, and ready to ride in hot, dry conditions. But if you’ve done a few marathons or a previous stage race and are looking for something that balances performance with atmosphere, this is your ride.
