In October the south of Bahia, better known as the Discovery Coast, hosts the main premium mountain bike stage race in the world! The bikers will start from Porto Seguro-Arraial d’Ajuda, where the first Portuguese landed in Brazil in 1500. The athletes head inland, crossing the mountains that divide the states of Bahia and Minas Gerais, and return to the coast to receive the desired finisher shirt. It’s seven days in a perfect setting for the greatest experience of your life!

Imagine yourself cycling on challenging trails, cutting through the lush Atlantic Forest and conquering stunning peaks. Get ready for an epic journey in the heart of Bahia, where the best athletes from Brazil and the world meet with a single passion for sport.
This race can be compared only to the largest ultramarathons in the world, providing competitors with everything they need; hydration points, food, camping, technical support and medical support while athletes are only concerned with what they like to do, cycling. Each race day averages 80 to 100 kilometers of the purest mountain biking.
The real challenge of this event is not only in winning but in self-knowledge, living the sport, overcoming the limits and getting as close to nature as you can be. Side by side, sports lovers and the national and world MTB stars will take this journey through the heart of Brazil. On the trail, at the dinner table, in the camp, the fraternisation and exchange of experience among the athletes is one of the pillars of the event.
Disputed always in Teams, Brasil Ride will open in categories: Open, Mixed, Ladies, Master (no athlete less than 40 years old), Grand Master (no athlete less than 50 years old), Nelore (above 90 kilos per rider), Corporate Category (3 members, no athlete less than 35 years old and the sum of the ages not less than 115 years) and IRON RIDER. “Begin searching for your partner ’cause the vacancies are limited” warns the organizer and ultra-marathon Mario Roma.
