Varsity Challenge

Two days, 1500 riders, alumni and students.

Varsity MTB Challenge

Introducing the first ever mountain bike race designed specifically for universities in South Africa – rekindle the spirit of university competition by riding in the colours of your university again.

The race is open to alumni, students and supporters of any university – all you need to do is to select the university you are going to support.

The Varsity MTB Challenge is a two-day race set in the beautiful Franschhoek in the Western Cape.

Aside from riding on exciting, new terrain riders will enjoy a Race Village offering entertainment and hospitality where there will be opportunity to meet up with fellow alumni, old friends and family.

The races are sanctioned by Cycling South Africa.
