Only a few days until the second edition of TORTOUR Cyclocross, the world’s first multi-day ultra cyclocross and gravel stage race, will be held in Glattfelden near Zurich (Switzerland), from 10 to 12 February 2017. Around 150 athletes from 15 nations – including big names from the cyclocross sport like Marcel Wildhaber, Simon Zahner or Lukas Winterberg – will compete in various categories during this adventurous race in challenging winter conditions. Media representatives are welcome at the event.
Be with us for the start of the second edition of TORTOUR Cyclocross: On Friday, 10. February 2017, some 150 participants will be at the starting line of the first multi-day ultra-cyclocross and gravel stage race in the world. The athletes will start for the prologue of 23 kilometres, divided into eight rounds, at 3.00 p.m. at the Hotel Riverside. First arrivals are expected at 3.40 p.m., at the Hotel Riverside as well. We’re able to organise interviews with favourites, famous or special participants on request. As a special guest, Hans-Ulrich Lehmann, a successful entrepreneur, investor, president of the ice-hockey club Kloten and candidate for the National Council, will be giving the starting signal for the prologue.
Of course you are also welcome to attend on Saturday, 11 February 2017 and Sunday, 12 February 2017. Mass start at the Riverside for the long stages of 80 and 74 kilometres is at 9.00 a.m., first arrivals of the top riders are expected from 12.00 p.m. Cut-off time on Saturday is at 5.30 p.m., on Sunday at 4.30 p.m. The award ceremony will take place at the Riverside on Sunday, 2.00 p.m. Be with us to celebrate today’s heroes!
