Route 62 Classic
The beautiful Robertson Valley needs no introduction to MTB riders. It has hosted many famous cycling and festival events over the past years.
Our main goal with the Route 62 Classic is to make this a memorable family weekend. Riders will be out on the spectacular trails during the mornings while the families explore the town. Relaxed evenings will include live entertainment, wine and beer tastings and good meals around the Race Village marquee.
The Route 62 Classic is a limited field 2 day MTB stage event. The objective is to offer riders a unique multi-stage experience with fantastic routes around Robertson. There will be some challenging intermediate sections in each of the 2 stages.
The host venue, Robertson High School, is a beautiful setting in the center of this historic and picturesque town.
DURING THE RACE
There will be 2-3 water points on each stage. These points supply energy drinks, cold water and food.
The exact distances between the water points will be provided at the race briefing.
Your support team may provide any clothing or mechanical assistance you may need on the route.
There will be a “sweeper” on the route that will keep you company until you reach the finish line.
Medics will be available on the route to assist in the event of injury.
Medical service will be available at the Race Village for basic treatment. More serious cases will be referred to the local hospital.
Basic medical services are for free, but recurring injuries or treatment of pre-existing chronic conditions will be charged accordingly. Please remember to carry the details of your medical insurance with you in case of hospitalization.
Please ensure that you bring your personal medication as prescribed by your physician.
